EZ-FLO Hose Tap Systems can be connected in a variety of ways. Most people attach the unit to a standard exterior water tap, with vacuum breakers existing on most homes. In addition, it can be connected to an existing sprinkler or drip irrigation system after any solenoid valve as long as the unit is only under pressure while it is operating.
A Hose and Tap unit can be used by any homeowner, nursery or grower simply by attaching it to a standard tap. An optional connection kit allows a unit to be attached to an irrigation system.
Gardeners have long loved these units for their ability to feed flowers, trees and shrubs without constantly refilling the tank. It can be moved around to feed multiple areas.
Our Light duty Hose and Tap units come in three model/ tank sizes:
2.8 litres 2005-HB model

The Heavy duty Hose and Tap units come in two models:
4.0 litres 1010 model

Quick snap on fittings are supplied, fitted free with all orders. If you require to fit the adaptor to BSP fittings in lieu of a snap on fittings please specify as we can include an ASH to BSP conversion kit.

EZ-FLO Hose and Tap Systems are Easy to Install and Easy to Use
EZ-FLO Hose and Tap systems can be installed in minutes by the average homeowner and are great for use when you don't have a dedicated irrigation system or want to separately address certain types of plants that require specialty garden fertilisers and supplements.
In order to convert a Hose and Tap feeder to single sprinkler valve connection, a separate conversion kit is available for purchase at $10.- (Part #THD-CNV). Finally heavy duty shutoff valves, $20.-/pair can be separately purchased to isolate the unit from the water stream for when you wash the car or when you need clear water from the hose end. (Part #SOV). These shut-off valves have quick connects that eliminate the need to screw the tubing onto the cap when refilling.
It is important to note that the tanks of the 2000 series units are made of polyethylene plastic that is not designed to withstand constant water pressure. They need to be depressurized after each use in order to ensure a long service life. They can handle up to 60 PSI (400Kpa) in their operating mode which is the normal maximum pressure limit for most plumbing systems. All standing water pressure should be relieved after each use. For example when hosing your garden with the hose attached to the 2000 series product do not kink the hose or close the sprayer...close the tap first.
Examples of End Devices that Can be Used with a Hose and Drip System
There are many end devices that can distribute fertiliser and supplements to your landscape including your favorite hand-held spray nozzles and lawns sprinklers and as well as single zone spray, micro spray and drip emitters.
All in all, a very flexible system for many homeowners, nurseries and growers.

Fertiliser Distribution Rates
EZ-FLO's patented flow technologies ensure that the proportion of fertiliser to water remains constant from the beginning of the cycle until the tank is depleted of fertiliser. For a detailed look at how EZ-FLO's technology works see our Technical Specifications.
All EZ-FLO fertigation units have an adjustable cap with four basic settings relating to the amount of fertiliser mixed with the water. The proportioning rate is determined by the connection type with the hose tap connection feeding at a faster rate than when a coupling connection is used.
