There are numerous studies documenting the effectiveness of applying fertilisers using fertigation vs. traditional granular application of fertilisers. Fertiliser uptake into the plants can be as high as 90% vs. much lower absorption levels for traditional fertilisers, even those that are time released. Much of the country's non-point source pollution (NPSP) results from fertiliser runoff.
EZ-FLO virtually eliminates fertiliser runoff since it is supplied to the landscape in small amounts and therefore most of the fertiliser can be absorbed by the plants. EZ-FLO is The Responsible Way to Fertilise
Using an EZ-FLO fertigation system eliminates exposure to harmful chemicals that may be contained in other fertilizers. We suggest the use of fertilisers which are classified as "non-hazardous". EZ-FLO dispensing systems allows you to apply these non-hazardous fertilisers in minute (trace) amounts.
EZ-FLO has obtained a number of patents in flow technology that allows for micro-dosing, consistently over the fill cycle. The ratio of water to full concentrate fertilizers can be as little as 15,000 to 1, or 66 parts per million (PPM). Since fertilisers are never sold in 100% concentrated form, the PPM mixture at the sprinkler head or drip emitter is always a fraction of this number.
For example, using a 25-15-10 blend of fertilizer (% NPK in the fertiliser) the ratio of fertiliser to water is further reduced to 16.5 parts per million Nitrogen (N), 10 parts per million Phosphorus (P) and 7 parts per million Potassium (K). s
As a reference analogy, one part per million corresponds to one minute in two years or one penny in $10,000. Traditional fertilisers are applied in doses hundreds of times more powerful than what EZ-FLO delivers on the Slow setting.
